Summary

As a Training and Events Coordinator, you will serve as an expert in training and events planning, execution from cradle to grave, and work with considerable independence and discretion. Location of position: This position will be located in General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office of Customer and Stakeholder Engagement. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

As a Training and Events Coordinator you will be responsible for the following duties: Works on a diverse range of issues related to General Services Administration(GSA)/Federal Acquisition Services (FAS) offerings, demonstrates resourcefulness and discretion in creating marketing or business approaches to provide consultant services that are often sensitive and have high visibility and/or are extremely difficult in nature. Tracks leads, evaluates campaign performance, and applies analytics to improve audience engagement and business development outcomes. Develops marketing, business development, and customer relationship management goals. Determines conference theme and agenda. Manages the budget for GSA training and events. Develops and manages the registration process for GSA sponsored, co-sponsored and third-party training and event attendees. Curates pertinent training topics and presenters, develops training schedules, and assesses the overall effectiveness of event speakers and training sessions. Supports collaborative projects across FAS offices and federal agencies to achieve integrated advertising, promotion, public relations, and marketing. Builds and maintains effective stakeholder relationships, resolving questions and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Identifies trends, leading indicators, and gaps in analytics methods or tools and recommends research or process improvements.

Qualifications

The GS 13 salary range starts at $108,173 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in planning, coordinating, and providing technical guidance on marketing and event operations. This experience must demonstrate the following: Participate in organizing training events or programs (i.e., conferences, workshops, and briefings) to promote market engagement. Disseminating strategic messages to target audiences through multiple channels (i.e. including social media, email campaigns, print media, and digital platforms) to promote specific training or meeting events. Preparing training materials (i.e. including manuals, handouts, and presentations), while ensuring all required technology and audio-visual equipment are staged to function effectively for training events.

If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or Non­Career SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office.
