Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AMMO) in the QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) DEPARTMENT of NAVSUBTORP FAC.

Duties

  • You will directly supervise a team of government civilian personnel, exercising managerial authority to achieve the goals of the MK48 IMA.
  • You will plan and assign work, set priorities, and evaluate employee performance.
  • You will manage the implementation and execution of the MK-48 Torpedo Quality Management System.
  • You will be responsible for the command Training and Qualification program.
  • You will develop and implement methods to improve processes, reduce bottlenecks, and promote team building.
  • You will set quality policies and act as a torpedo quality advisor to the Commanding Officer.
  • You will manage several key programs, including the internal audit program, Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA), training and qualification, and technical document control.
  • You will serve as a member of the Torpedo Enterprise Global Quality Council Board of Directors, providing strategic direction.
  • You will be responsible for in-process and final inspection of products, as well as the review of all quality-related documentation.
  • You will provide technical guidance and advice for Quality Inspectors and maintenance personnel.
  • You will manage the verification of all maintenance records and the technical publication library.
  • You will serve as a Technical Assistant for NAVSEA service contracts by defining contract requirements, monitoring contractor deliverables, and providing performance assessment reports to the Contracting Officer's Representative.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and possess advanced level of knowledge pertaining to MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo Quality Management System. Experience conducting problem analysis, determining both individual root-causes and systemic problems, and developing logical and documented corrections. Experience and skill in personnel management and development. Experience managing an effective and comprehensive Training and Qualification program. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite applications and MK 48 Heavyweight databases such as APCS, CAPA, CPRS, EDMS, and HTTDS.
