Summary
This position is located at: Auto Skills Center - Fort Irwin, California. Automotive Skills provides a cost-effective, on-post alternative for maintaining and repairing your vehicle. Whether you are new to automotive care or experienced under the hood, our facility offers the tools, workspace, and professional guidance you need to complete your project confidently and safely.
Duties
- Identifies improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement using on-board computer diagnostic systems and other test equipment. Determine whether parts should be cleaned or replaced.
- Install, adjust and set automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product.
- Knowledge of the various techniques for removing, replacing, cleaning and installing parts and components. Skill to make adjustments and settings and in the operation of tools and equipment used.
- Understanding of diagnostic and test equipment; the make-up and operation of systems and their interrelationship.
- Decides on the methods and techniques to use. Supervisor is available for assistance with unusual problems. Work is reviewed in terms of results obtained.
Qualifications
