Summary

This position is located with the Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Center on Fort Wainwright, AK. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Duties

  • Performs a variety of trades and laboring duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment, including a Zamboni Ice Resurfacer, Ice Edger, Tenant Rider Sweeper/scrubber, Gator Field Vehicle and Golf Carts.
  • Sets up, breaks down and maintains goals, nets, bleachers, weight room equipment and audio/visual equipment.
  • Makes repairs and alterations to hockey rink boards, seats, bleachers, basketball surfaces in accordance with specifications set by NCAA and the supervisor.
  • Cleans, mops, shampoos, polishes, disinfects areas and equipment to include locker rooms, lounges, and weight room.

Qualifications

Experience in performing duties described and the ability to follow oral and written instructions involving those duties. 2. Incumbent is expected to have a basic knowledge of the standard techniques in the maintenance of buildings and equipment, and have the ability to read and compute simple arithmetic. 3. Be skilled in use and operation of common hand and power tools and measuring devised of the painting/carpentry trades. 4. Must have ability to learn new techniques and procedures associated with the preceding.
