Summary
This position is located in the Property and Supply within the Division of Administrative Services at the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital, Crow Service Unit, Crow Agency Montana. The position provides guidance and technical assistance on support work functions. The position is responsible for assigning, scheduling and directing work activities work pertinent to a variety of property and supply functions. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Duties
- Maintains stock at/or within prescribed levels and establishes or adjusts stock levels and reorder points using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) principle to assure adequate stock of supplies and materials are available when needed in the proper quantity and of the proper quality. Conducts physical inventories and adjusts and/or maintains inventory and stock account records. Reviews and/or screens documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs or work operations and collates and assembles list of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans. Initiates, prepares, edits and processes requisitions for stock replenishment. Contacts customers, supply organizations, transportation units and others to obtain material status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of materials/supplies. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Evaluate work performances of subordinates. Hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level - Experience with supply/inventory management systems; planning and coordinating property and supply operations; vehicle fleet management; federal acquisition processes; supply/inventory storage and space management; mail and quarters management. Shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others; may include effectively dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations. Planned, distributed, and monitored work assignments; evaluated work performance and provided feedback to others on their performance. Used knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive job experience to perform one's job; worked with, understood, and evaluated technical information related to the job; advised others on technical issues. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
