Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD0878P01 and is part of the WY Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Duties

  • This position is located in the Wyoming Army National Guard's Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics/G4 (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, Supply and Services Branch. Its purpose is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions. (1) Plans, organizes and manages supply and services functions to include subsistence management and command food service programs. (2) Advises the DOL Logistics Management Officer (LMO) on command supply and services status and recommends support required for current and proposed operations. (3) Maintains current command supply analysis on trends of effectiveness and efficiency. (4) Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function to prepare and review budget estimates for the command supply and services functions. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis. If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible). Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming National Guard. Area 4: All current Drill Status Airmen and M-day soldiers of the Wyoming National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the United States military branches or prior service members of one of those military branches. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. MILITARY GRADE In-State Applicants: Min: E6 / SSG, O1 / 2LT, WO1 Max: E9 / SGM, O3 / CPT, CW3 Out-of-State Applicants: Min: E6 / SSG, O1 / 2LT, WO1 Max: E7 / SFC, O3 / CPT, CW3 Out-of-State enlisted applicant's military grade cannot exceed the maximum military grade authorized. Over-grade applicants must provide a written demotion statement of understanding with application, willingness to be administratively reduced in grade (E7/SFC) if selected for this position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves management, direction or administration of a supply program that includes a mixture of technical supply functions or staff managerial or administrative work primarily concerned with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education, or training which provided general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must show start and end in MM/YYYY to MM/YYYY format (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.

Requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Must submit IPPS-A STP with application. Must meet minimum/specialized experience req. for position and grade level. Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a T3/SECRET security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives. Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a technician. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact the environment. Responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.
