Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Training Technician, Position Description Number D2509000 and is part of the NH 157th Maintenance Group, National Guard. This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection. Technician announcement is advertised in conjunction with AGR Announcement NHANG-26-005. Duties

  • The primary purpose of this position is to initiate, research, develop, manage, and control training programs.

Qualifications

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Title 32 INDEFINITE excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E5 to E7 Selectee(s) must be within the military grade(s) listed in this job announcement prior to the effective date of placement into the technician position. Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade. Compatible Military Assignments: 2A, 2R, 3F2 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 - Must have 12 months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-08). Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. It is not necessary for applicants to possess the MOS/AFSC listed as compatible to the position in order to apply, however applicant must meet the qualifications for the position. It is applicant's responsibility to acquire a compatible MOS/AFSC within 1 year of appointment. Coordinate with your unit's training representative to determine whether or not you can qualify for a specific MOS/AFSC and/or receive training within the 1 year timeframe before accepting the position.
