About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406TH Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, located in Fort Bragg, NC.

Duties

• Inspect contractor maintenance to verify the reliability and service ability of ground tactical equipment.
• Evaluate work performance to determine whether contractor maintenance meets contractual and technical standards.
• Analyze quality trends to identify adverse conditions requiring investigation and corrective action.
• Review maintenance documentation to validate the accuracy and completeness of work orders/technical records.
• Monitor government property to ensure proper control and safeguarding of equipment/materials in contractor custody.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Inspect contractor maintenance operations to verify compliance with technical standards. ; 2. Evaluate inspection data to identify adverse quality trends. ; 3. Monitor government property to ensure proper control and accountability. ; 4. Advise senior maintenance officials on contractor performance to support contract oversight. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Management, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or other closely related applied technical fields. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
