Summary

This position is located in the Pharmacy Section, Four Corners Regional Health Center in Red Mesa, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to serve as the section's managerial supervisor; provide direct clinical pharmacy services; responsible for management and administration of personnel policies and procedures; and direct/manage programs and activities in a manner that ensures the mission and vision. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Participates in Service Unit and facility-wide quality initiatives. Establishes audit criteria and monitors medication safety indicators. Directs and oversees daily outpatient pharmacy operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of pharmaceutical services. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, tribal, accreditation, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice and healthcare delivery. Provides direct pharmaceutical services to patients. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and medication orders and verifies preparation and dispensing accuracy in accordance with approved professional standards and technologies.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part-time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. REQUIREMENT: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. AND possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. AND applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Develops, implements, and monitors pharmacy performance improvement and quality control activities. Participates in Service Unit and facility-wide quality initiatives. Establishes audit criteria and monitors medication safety indicators. Directs and oversees daily outpatient pharmacy operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of pharmaceutical services. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, tribal, accreditation, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice and healthcare delivery. Provides direct pharmaceutical services to patients. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and medication orders and verifies preparation and dispensing accuracy in accordance with approved professional standards and technologies. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
