Summary

About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Central Cashier Office in the Resource Management Flight.This is a Regular Full-Time position. This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave. Scheduled hours will be 35-40 per week.

Duties

  • Responsible for the daily operation of the NAF Central Cashier Office, which includes, but is not limited to, receiving, counting, verifying, making necessary corrections, and balancing of all receipt funds and disbursing change/imprest funds as needed. Verifies daily deposits at the central cashier office or at FSS activities in a secured room with management designated activity personnel and secures funds for transport for between activities and to the central cashier office. Makes exchange of cash from outside and internal sources as needed. Maintains a Central Cashier's Control Log (CCCL) by NAFI/Activity. Makes cash deposits to the servicing financial institution. Receives physical credit card slips as a deposit. Deposits checks electronically using the AF mandated system and responsible for proper disposal of physical checks. Examines a variety of documents to determine their mathematical correctness, validity, and clerical accuracy. These documents may include Central Cashier Deposit Receipts (CCDR's), Consolidated Cost Center Reports (CCCR'S), Visa/Mastercard sales/credit slips, accounts receivable charges/credits, etc. Resolves discrepancies by contacting activities. Posts documents to appropriate ledger or journal. Runs daily audit reports, reconciles to off-line control totals and resolves differences. Types correspondence and miscellaneous accounting documents. Maintains files to include proper disposition in accordance with established procedures. Verifies NAF vending/amusement harvests. Maintains inventory of designated squadron coupons and controlled forms. Schedules independent inventories. Responsible for training requirements originating from Resource Management. Maintains key controls. Performs double-entry accrual accounting work in the absence of an accounting technician in order to maintain a combination of journals and ledgers. Operates assigned motor vehicle to perform daily duties. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Responsible clerical or office work of any kind that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position. Demonstrated cash handling skills and arithmetic aptitude and ability to compile and record data. Requires accuracy, attention to detail, and customer services skills, a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 55 pounds and basic knowledge of personal computer operation (keyboarding/typing/calculator skills). Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination. NACI (TI) required. This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Education
