LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (MULTINATIONAL)

Duties

• Manage multinational logistics programs; leads the Senior Leader Logistics Symposium and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Logistics Handbook; develops plans and policies to improve regional interoperability and partner capacity.
• Lead the development and implementation of logistics, medical, and contract support annexes for USSOUTHCOM OPLANs and provides technical expertise in logistics for multinational exercises.
• Serve as the primary J4 liaison to Partner Nations and leads multinational working groups to develop tactics and procedures for disaster relief operations.
• Utilize data analysis tools and geographic information systems (GIS) technologies to monitor and report program performance, establish performance metrics, and drive process improvements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) developing and integrating joint or combined logistics plans, to include drafting operational and contingency plan annexes in support of theater-level missions, crisis action, or multinational exercises; 2) managing multinational logistics programs or security cooperation initiatives, serving as a primary liaison to coordinate capacity-building efforts and disaster relief operations with partner nations, component commands, and interagency stakeholders; and 3) utilizing logistics data analysis tools to evaluate operational effectiveness, facilitating multinational working groups to develop actionable tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and preparing technical briefings and decision documents for senior executive or general/flag officer leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
