Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D2434000 and is part of the NH 157th Mission Support Group, National Guard. Duties
- The incumbent serves as the base senior Logistics Management Officer/Commander assigned to the Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, in an ANG Wing. Its primary purpose is to provide overall senior level supervisory management of the logistics personnel and programs. Plans, directs, and administers logistics programs to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Supervises positions engaged in substantive logistics work. Responsible for overall management of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability, internal controls and training in peacetime, in preparation to perform the State and Federal missions. Serves as LRS/CC and Assistant USPFO-NH for Property - Air. Manages complex base logistics functions to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Provides senior level supervisory oversight for the Wing's Logistics Readiness war and domestic logistics capabilities. Responsible for overall management of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability and internal controls. Oversees and/or participates in unit assessments, inspections, installation deployment plans, deployments, disaster preparedness exercises, and Crisis Action Team (CAT) operations required to maintain the highest state of readiness. Directs the Wing's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in support of local and regional exercises and/or real-world contingencies. May be called upon to perform additional duties in support of various programs at the Group and Wing level.
Qualifications
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership in the military grade/rank listed in the announcement. Military Grades: 05 Compatible Military Assignments: 21R3 (Fully Qualified preferred, Trainee may be considered) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11). Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. For Supervisory Positions: Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. In addition, is appointed by the United States Property and Fiscal Officer as the Assistant United States Property and Fiscal Officer (USP&FO) for Air (Property) IAW NGR 130-6 in-charge of all ANG federally owned property under their purview. It is not necessary for applicants to possess the MOS/AFSC listed as compatible to the position in order to apply, however applicant must meet the qualifications for the position.
