Summary
This position is located on the Lincoln National Forest in Alamogordo, NM. Incumbent is responsible for accomplishing a variety of support services including but not limited to: procurement of administrative supplies and equipment, tracking budget expenses, assisting with personnel documents, and records and correspondence management. Duties
- Track budget expenses for a unit or organization.
- Monitor the daily functions of a front desk to assure optimum operation.
- Initiate and oversee a variety of personnel processing activities for a unit or organization.
- Lead by example to provide exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers.
- Respond to all staff administrative requests in a professional, pleasant, and timely manner
- Prepare, control, coordinate, and/or assemble information for procurement actions.
- Use a company credit card to order and/or purchase goods, supplies and/or services.
- Prepare and/or process correspondence, reports, and/or forms that affect the work of an organization.
- Provide office support through the use of software and automated equipment (i.e., word processing, electronic communications, spreadsheets, graphics, and/or databases).
- Use various software/database applications for organizational tracking and/or reporting purposes.
- Performs supervisory duties less than 20% of the time.
Qualifications

Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-06 level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level. Examples of specialized experiences is defined as meeting one or more of the following: Compiling and organizing monthly expenditure information for routine budget reporting; reviewing correspondence or documents for grammatical accuracy, correct formatting, and adherence to established guidelines; purchasing routine supplies or special-order items, including reconciling purchases in an electronic database; monitoring inventory levels and determining when supplies need replenishment. OR One full year (18 semester/27 quarter hours) of successfully completed graduate level coursework that is directly related to the work of the position (such as Business or Public Administration, or other administrative or management fields related to the position being filled); OR Combinations of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
