Summary
This position is located on the Intermountain Region, Region 4, Manti-La-Sal National Forest. The position is established to provide general administrative support for the staff. The incumbent performs a variety of record keeping, reporting, and informational duties in support of the mission. Duties
- Duties listed are at the full performance level, GS-05.
- Requisition office supplies, equipment, forms, printing services, maintenance services, etc. as required.
- Prepare audits and transmits time and attendance reports for employees in the unit.
- Enter data into existing or newly developed databases using work center software systems.
- Maintain the unit's files in hardcopy and/or electronic format as required.
- Review outgoing correspondence for grammatical accuracy and conformance with policy.
- Examine documents and data for completeness, discrepancies and other special requirements.
Qualifications

Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-04 grade level: Applicants must have one (1) year of general experience. General experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of general work experience include the following: Progressively responsible clerical, office, greeting visitors and responding to phone or written inquiries, using word processing software or other automated software to produce routine documents or collecting funds from sales. -OR- An associate's degree or two years of successfully completed education above high school. -OR- A combination of the experience AND the education described above.The education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. For the GS-05 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as two or more of the following: Greeting visitors and responding to phone and written inquiries personally or referring to other staff as appropriate; maintaining written records and files in electronic and/or hardcopy filing systems; and using word processing software and printing equipment to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print standardized documents ensuring correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format. -OR- A bachelor's degree or 4 years of successfully completed education above high school; -OR- Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and specialized experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
