Summary
THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN JFHQ IN J1, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D3530000. If you would like the complete list of duties, please contact the POC of this announcement.
Duties
- The incumbent implements the State’s Incentive Program and subordinate programs, including SRIP, AMEDD, SLRP, CLRP and BRS-CP (collectively referred to as incentive contracts and programs) through policy execution and processing of contracts/actions.
- The incumbent conducts a continuous review of policies related to contract monitoring, termination notifications, Congressional inquiries, and complaints from the Inspector General as applicable.
- Provides support in the training and oversight of lower echelon system operators (Brigade, Battalion, etc.) to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MILITARY GRADES: E4 through E6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records, or other nonspecialized tasks) is not creditable. Trades or crafts experience appropriate to the position to be filled may be creditable for some positions. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 1-year specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Specialized experience is experience that prepared the applicant to perform the duties of the position. Thorough knowledge of Army National Guard (ARNG) Incentive Programs, Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS), Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS), and HR principles. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with familiarity of incentive management systems and ARNG policies. Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. Education
To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-09 Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the line of work. For the GS-09 level: To qualify on education alone applicant must have one of the following: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-9 including qualifying with combination of education and experience.
