Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MIL), Position Description Number D1622000 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Duties
- As a HR SPEC (MIL), GS-0201-09, you will administer and accomplish functions of one or more of the following human resources programs: Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, and/or Readiness.
Qualifications
Military Grades: Enlisted SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year experience equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. Must have experience and knowledge serving as advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources (HR) programs. Interpreting policy and provides procedural guidance to commanders, supervisors, and staff members. Providing guidance and assistance on unit program(s) for which responsible. Providing training to supervisors on all military human resources issues. Planning, directing, controlling and providing advisory services on all aspects of the Career Enhancement program for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR), unit drill status guardsmen, full time technicians and potential members. Advising supervisors or managers within unit when actions may affect productivity or mission. Being responsible for the development of internal policies and procedures governing administration of Personnel Employment programs to include inbound assignment for officer and airmen personnel; certification of military qualifications and assignment eligibility for AGRs, traditional drill status guardsmen applicants; and in-processing of personnel.
Education
If you are using Education to qualify for this position: Master's or equivalent graduate degree in related field or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in related field. or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a four year degree in a related field. Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level (above a Bachelor's Degree) in an accredited college or university.
