Duties
- DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works under the general supervision of the Leisure Activities Manager in a variety of Edelweiss Leisure outlets. Specifically, the Alpine Adventures, Point Wellness Center, and the Hausberg Ski Lodge. Duties will range from working as a retail salesclerk, activity reservationist, equipment fitter, shuttle driver, tour guide, and activities facilitator. Provides guests with information on all Leisure Activities offered, including schedules, prices, activity lengths, and available local "on your own" activities. Reserving bookings and taking payment for all activities offered from Tours, Spa treatments, and Ski lesson activities. Assist guests with the fitting of clothing and equipment for winter and summer activities, including skis, snowboards, and bicycles. Sells various souvenir retail items as well as accountable tickets for local ski lifts and attractions. Prepares daily activity reports indicating the number of passengers on each tour, tickets sold, money collected, etc. Informs supervisor when activity capacities are met in order to adjust schedules to increase availability for guests. Drives and leads groups of visitors through historical sites and areas, provides explanations, identification, and descriptions of monuments, and interprets German, especially Bavarian, history. Provides information on historical facts and other characteristics of the tour area and circumstances associated with their origin. Assists in developing new Tours to better serve guests. All tour presentations are conducted in English. Ensures a safe and fun environment for Just for Kids' activities and field trips, including 100% accountability of all participants. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have one year of post-high school experience in the hospitality industry or one year of post-high school education. One year of experience in the duties outlined above. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Preferred candidates will have experience in the hospitality or recreation field. All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks. Education
