Duties
- If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing administrative support services to support US Attorneys Office litigation activities. Typical work assignments will include: Acts as the team leader: ensures that the organizational strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services; Conducts program analysis for support services provided by the Support Services Section; Assists with the receipt, internal distribution and dispatching of mail and other material for large volumes of mail; Fulfills printing and reproduction orders and requisitions and as required coordinates delivery and pick up of printed materials; Participates in the acquisition of complex professional services and equipment requirements for the district; Assists with the District's administrative inventory and supply program; Prepares recommendations for the utilization of space and participates in moves and arrangement of office furniture and equipment; and Provides a wide variety of security services to promote the effective protection of property, personnel, facilities, sensitive and classified information, communications and computer equipment and other resources against criminal, terrorist and hostile activities. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Qualifications
GS-11: To be eligible at the GS-11 level, you must meet specialized experience, possess a PhD or have completed the equivalent of three years of post-masters graduate education, OR have a combination of experience and education. Specialized Experience: Experience conducting program management of administrative support services in at least four of the following areas: mail processing, printing and reproduction, procurement, inventory and supply, space and facilities management, or physical and personnel security. My program management of these areas included conducting studies and analyses of administrative services to make them more efficient and effective. Education: Possess a PhD or equivalent graduate degree in a related field such as business administration or public administration; or possess three years (post master's degree) of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. in a related field such as business administration or public administration. Combining Experience and Education: I have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education which when combined equal 100% of the requirements. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. Education
All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program.
