About the Position: This position is located at the US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS AVIATION CO 160TH SPECIAL REGIMENTAL S-3 OPNS AVN REGIMENT FORT CAMPBELL KY.

Duties

  • Serves as the senior civilian Regiment Operations Officer for the organization.
  • Coordinates directly with the command staff and subordinate units.
  • Review and evaluate assigned projects with staff sections and subordinate action officers to ensure requirements and approved management techniques.
  • Provides expert technical advice and planning assistance to the Regiment Operations Officer and the Regiment Commander on the development, coordination, and execution of Regiment-level operations.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One-year of Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade in the federal service which includes: 1. Demonstrate your ability to execute senior staff actions, policy integration, and operational coordination within a Special Operations Aviation or highly complex tactical military aviation environment. 2. Evaluating, developing, and advising on operational plans, training exercises, and unit readiness parameters in strict accordance with DoD, and the command's publications. 3. Assists in identifying operational shortfalls and writes policies and procedures to correct operational deficiencies. 4. Demonstrates the ability to integrate and implement command level policies governing military operations, training, and unit readiness. 5. Conducts operational assessments, communicating Special Operations Aviation requirements to higher headquarters, and interfacing directly with enterprise staffs to brief commanders on program objectives and ensure 100% compliance with reporting timelines. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
